The aurora borealis provides a little bit of aptitude to our house planet on this picture taken from the Worldwide Area Station on Sept. 15, 2017. This phenomenon occurs as a result of the Solar bathes Earth in a gradual stream of energetic particles, magnetic fields and radiation that may stimulate our ambiance and lightweight up the night time sky. When this occurs within the Southern Hemisphere, it’s known as aurora australis.
